IPHONE 3GS REVIEW

The physical differences between the iPhone 3G and 3GS are very minor—the iPhone
3GS is slightly heavier, has glossy text on the back, and its screen is ever so slightly more
reflective. So what makes the 3GS better?

The "S" in iPhone 3GS stands for speed: a new processor enable it to load apps faster and
it utilizes an upgraded AT&T 3G network for speedier Web browsing. The CPU has been
increased from 412MHz to 600MHz, RAM doubled from 128MB to 256MB. Apps look
the same, but load faster and run more smoothly.

The more reflective screen is due to a fingerprint resistant oleophobic coating. The 3GS
doesn’t have the problem of “sticking” in areas that have a bit of finger and face grease
and it’s easier to wipe clean.

The 3GS display is slightly warmer than the 3G’s, so it’s a bit easier on your eyes.

It has a 3 megapixel camera which focuses on where you tap. The new camera options
are autofocus and video recording, with simple video editing right on the screen.

The new model also has an internal compass which also works in Google maps to orient
to the direction you’re facing; Cut, copy, and paste text and multimedia with unaltered
formatting; Voice control for calling and music; Wider landscape keyboard for more
accurate typing; Multimedia messaging capability; Spotlight for easy searching; Turn-by-
turn directions to make the iPhone 3GS a fully-functioning GPS device.

The iPhone 3GS is not that much different from the iPhone 3G. But it is improved and
more enjoyable to use.
